The Origin of Préski
In the summer of 2019, during a coaching season in Australia, Anne-Sophie and Simon discovered ski simulators for the first time. Fascinated by the potential of this technology, one idea quickly took hold: to create the very first centre of its kind in Québec.
From that inspiration, Préski was born — a unique space where people can ski year-round, discover the sport in a safe environment, and train during the off-season thanks to an innovative and affordable solution.
Since June 2023, our mission has been simple: to break down the barriers to skier development.
Our Team
Indoor Skiing
Used for decades around the world, Québec is now discovering indoor ski simulators for the very first time.
These simulators are essentially giant treadmills on which skiers can make real turns with real skis. Préski is equipped with two simulators, including the largest one in North America. The surface is a synthetic carpet moistened with water to allow for smooth gliding. Both speed and incline can be adjusted, making the experience accessible to all levels.
Skiing is now possible year-round, offering beginners a chance to discover the sport before hitting Québec’s beautiful mountains in winter. Préski is also a unique training space for competitive skiers and ski instructors.
Learning and improving your skiing technique on a simulator is highly effective thanks to the high volume of movement repetition. In just one session, you can make more turns than in an entire day on the slopes!
